These kids give a great video demonstration of their entire hamster setup as their mom videos them. They are one of the lucky ones and seem to have already convinced their parents to buy the entire hamster habitat. The hamster world that they have includes the surf board and sleep dome and the kids demonstrate how their hamsters are able to use them and interact and make cute noises at the same time.

This is one of the best Zhu Zhu products. The hamster is so cool when it is on the surfboard. This is great, especially if you have a lot of carpeting in your home - he really goes well on the carpeting, without it your Zhu Zhu pet does a lot of hopping.

Accessory that if used for its intended purpose can give a child many months of fun. When assembled with other accessory pieces, you have a maze in which a mechanized hamster uses to travel. The more accessories used together, the more space you will need (remember the model railroad). It is suggested that the original boxes be kept to store item.

Not For Carpet

I bought this accessory for my children specifically due to the carpeting in our house and a review that stated this was a great accessory for carpeting. The surfboard is NOT for carpeting. It specifically states in the directions that it works best on flat clear surfaces. It is cute to watch on flat surfaces, but do NOT buy this if your looking for something to help with carpet. I believe that the ball works much better on carpets.

Even though I would recommend this product because it's so cute; I do have to say that I was a little shocked at the cheap plastic that makes the sleep hut (dome). The surf board looks and feels sturdy but the sleep hut (dome) I think is way too thin. You can easily bend the plastic. I could easily see my daughter pressing to hard to close the sleep hut and have it snap in her hands (potentially cutting her hand). I would think it would be thicker to stand up to a 5-year old. BTW - you can purchase this set at Walmart for ten dollars.

Although the Zhu Zhu Pets are all the rage right now, I have to say I like the hamsters, but the accessories leave a lot to be desired. Made of very lightweight and not durable plastic, the pieces do not stay together well. However, my daughter loves the hamsters and have found other ways to play with them.

Most of the zhu zhu pets accessories work fine, this one does not. The hamster gets trapped in it and cannot get out.

WARNING!!!! Zhu Zhu's are VERY Dangerous. Our Daughter was playing with one and a few strands of her hair came near it. It pulled those few strands in, and a lot more .... and it would NOT stop. Luckily we caught it in time, but had to rush and hold both her hair and the still running Zhu Zhu, while cutting away her hair. THIS THINGS ARE VERY DANGEROUS AND ARE A PIECE OF CHINESE CRAP. Get rid of them!!!! If we get a chance, we will join in a lawsuit.
