The Power Wheels Ford F150 comes in this 12 volt top end model as well as a lower spec 6 volt version which is sometimes referred to as the Lil Ford F150. Our listings below include both versions so that you can get a better comparison price idea. The main differences would be the lower power, seating for really one, less traction capability, different color and difference in detail and design, essentially a completely different Power Wheels truck but still in the same Ford F150 image. |

The 12 volt Power Wheels Ford F150 is perhaps one of the best replica examples out of any of the Power Wheels vehicles. For those kids that want rugged and authentic, then this choice must surely be at the top of the list. Available in a couple of colors depending on the F150 version, more notably silver and black, the Ford F150 goes where most only dream of. |

The details on this particular truck are first rate. Not only is the attention to the smaller additions such as the bumper and grill detailing, bulbar, front and rear lights, logos and windows and their housing so much like the real thing, but the addition of other external items such as the rear undercover storage for all of the essential items for your child to take off road have been so well thought out. Even the front engine bonnet lifts to reveal a convincing engine design that boys especially love to examine. |
| |
| The interior has seating for two with the steering wheel well positioned for easy driving and control. The extended seat is comfortable and in a good position for maximum viewing for children. The inside houses a radio that actually works with the addition of a few extra batteries of course, built in cup holders for on route refreshments and a snazzy battery level indicator dial to let your kid know when the battery needs a top up. |
| |
The addition of the trademarked Monster Traction drive system really lets Power Wheels Ford F150 excel over other models when it comes to the usual more difficult surface conditions, such as wet grass and muddy surfaces, although this is still a ride on toy truck and not a real off roader! The Ford F150 has no problems with any of these more demanding surfaces that other Power Wheels vehicles sometimes have difficulty coping with. Power is provided with the included 12 volt battery and battery charger. If your child is new to the Power Wheels fun and games, then the two speed level foot operated control system, which operates at an official maximum of 2.5mph and 5mph respectively, can be locked into the lower limiting speed. When your child is a driving pro, release the simple speed locking mechanism and let them enjoy the higher speed capability. Reverse is foot controlled and goes at the lower maximum speed. The Power Wheels F150 has the well trusted Power Lock braking system to ensure that your child can both stop safely and in a controlled fashion. |

As far as trucks go that look the part, have great detail and give the power and performance that allows kids to have maximum fun and enjoyment, the Ford F150 has been proved a winner time after time. |

Great design attention to detail, comfortable, great surface ability, two position speed control, rear storage, truck loads of fun, durable |

Parents that buy the Power Wheels Ford F150 usually buy it for their boys who enjoy the more rugged action driving and image. Parents generally are very impressed with the looks, design details and capabilities of this truck. Parents that had a ‘less rugged’ Power Wheels vehicle in the past are particularly pleased that this truck can get through much more testing surface conditions without them constantly needing to push their kids out. |

All in all, the consensus on this particular Fisher Price model is high and this is reflected in the abundance of high ratings that you may have come across. |

Good value, "monster traction" works well

We bought this for our 5 year old son for Christmas. Previously he has been driving around a "Power Wheels" Jeep that was my daughter's until she outgrew it, so we can give you a head-to-head comparison between the two. The F150 is quite a bit bigger than the Jeep, it came in a HUGE box! It is wider, taller and longer; and has much more clearance underneath. There is some assembly involved as well as applying of decals, but the instructions are good and the assembly is nothing complicated. I haven't seen this mentioned before in the reviews, but the "Monster Traction" feature comes by way of a separate electric motor driving each rear wheel (2 motors total). Typical Power Wheels have a single electric motor driving one rear wheel while the other rear wheel free-wheels. The Monster Traction definitely works, the Jeep gets stuck in certain places in our yard (particularly on the grade changes between pavement and grass) while the F150 easily breezes across those same areas. But here's something you need to know, if you install the low speed lockout on a Monster Traction vehicle, it no longer has Monster Traction! Only the right rear wheel is active at low speed and in reverse. As a result, it gets stuck on all but the most solid terrain in low speed or in reverse. In reading some of the complaints about traction here I'm guessing this is due to low speed running. You've got to keep it on high to take advantage of the Monster Traction driving both rear wheels.
Other comments- the construction is very robust like all F-P Power Wheels vehicles, it'll no doubt last a long time. The radio is a neat feature for the kids to play with. Reception isn't fantastic, but they like it just fine. The F150 is nicely finished out and looks close enough to the real thing to make our son feel like he's driving a vehicle rather than riding on a toy. I rate this as an excellent purchase for the money and fully expect it to last many years just as the Jeep has. |

Fisher price power wheels ford F150
My grandson enjoys his F150, (just like his Papa's) immensly. He rides it every day. He is 3 1/2 years old and pretends he is riding it to the store, going camping etc. He loads his Power wheels up and puts the tailgate down to unload. He has a great time enjoying his new power wheels,(he out grew his smaller one) |
Great Toy!!!! It keeps reinventing itself!

| We bought this for my son's 3 year old birthday. He absolutely loves it and completely enjoyed it on his birthday. He and his friends took turns "driving" it. It is very durable and the radio is excellent. Four boys were able to fit in it and completely enjoy themselves. |
Fun! Fun! Fun!

| This is a terrific toy for children. I've purchased several Power Wheels before. My grandchildren love to ride them in our big backyard. This product is over the top. It has all the bells and whistles. I especially like the fact that two children can ride together. I was as excited to watch them and they were to drive. |
Great toy that really delivers!

| Hands down a great product and it works great. With one or two children in the high gear the truck runs through the grass and even some small curbs and hills without any trouble. Battery is very powerful but we bought a replacement as well to give kids extra play time. Stay away from Peg-Perego and go with powerwheels. This truck is aweseome. |
Great !!!

| I bought this item for my 21/2 year old grandson. He lives it and is well able to use it. It runs very well on grassy surfaces which makes it a little safer for him. |

We bought this for our 3-year-old daughter for her 3rd birthday. She simply loves it!!! I had started researching ride-on toys when she was 2 and was torn between a few different models (fisher Price and Perego) and after reading reviews and going to the stores to see them in person we settled on this model - It has been by far an EXCELLENT choice.
Assembly was a breeze and took about 30 minutes (not including sticker placement). It is built rather solidly and only required a screwdriver. Of course though, I believe i used a mallet to tap on an item or two.
The seat is adjustable to accommodate your child as they grow and it even has fake little seatbealts (velco) to plant the seed of safety at an early age. Not only does my daughter put it on everytime she gets in the truck, but she also buckles in her stuffed animals who always accompany her for the ride.
It has a working tailgate and area (bed) for her to put extra stuffed animals, toys, (our cat) and anything else she decides to put back there.
we have about an acre of land (bermuda grass) and the truck has done well over the entire yard (our yard is mostly flat). As mentioned by another reviewer, in low speed we noticed an area or two where it had problems going from the grass to the driveway, but in high gear nothing has stopped it yet.
We were first worried that perhaps after getting our daughter this truck she wouldn't want to ride her tricycle or big wheeel anymore - it has not been the case. She actually takes all three out of our shed, parks them in the driveway and switches between them as she loses interest. Needless to say, we have spent hours outside watching her go from one to the other on her riding/driving adventures:-)
The raido actually works rather well and she loves changing the station trying to accommodate her passengers listening needs:-)
There is a battery meter which is a four light display (green to red) letting her know when she's getting low on "gas". So far we have had it out for about 3 hours straight (stop n' go driving)and have never run out of juice; and remember this is all mainly grass driving.
We recharge it over night when the power finally gets down to the red light (approx. 14 hours recharge time). The wheels are a bit noisy since they are hard plastic on concrete surfaces, but, since that seems to be our only complaint; it's a trivial complaint at best.
Great price, solid toy and definitely one I'm sure will be around for years to come- THANX FISHER PRICE:-) |
Kids Love It

| My 4 year old daughter and the neighborhood kids love this F150. It is far easier for her to manage and steer than her previous ride on, the Little Tikes Hummer. Even though this is bigger, it's easier for her to steer and she enjoys taking neighbor kids for a ride. It does very well in dirt, gravel, and grass. We have some empty lots in a new subdivision near our house that she loves to drive around in and it climbs over almost everything except really large rocks or stumps. The only complaint I have is that the plastic tires are really loud on any paved surface so we tend to keep it on the grass or off-road. If it wasn't for the really loud tires, I would have given it 5 stars. |
My nephew loves it!

| The truck required some assembly. It was not hard to put together but it was somewhat time consuming. I will never understand why they can't put those little decals on at the factory!! The only negative thing I can say about this for a gift is that it is difficult to hide until Christmas morning. My nephew had a John Deer tractor that he had worn out, so we thought this would be an upgrade, and he loves it! He uses the radio and acts like he is starting it everytime he gets in it. |
